Today was the last day of our national youth gathering. It
was both a sad and happy day, we were leaving
behind beds, warm showers, and the city that basically
became our baby; but, now we are on our way home and looking forward to our mystery days! After we went to communion on the last day of our youth gathering, our day was cut short and we had to head back to the bus and say goodbye to 4 of our friends: Kristen, Rebecca, Sara, and Maia. Once they got there rides we were headed on the
road once again. On the way to Indianapolis, after about an hour of bus riding
we hit a major storm and water was leaking through the windows into the bus. Many of us where asleep and awaken by a stream of water falling onto our
pillows and faces. After we passed the storm everything was calm and we could
sleep in peace again. When we got to our new church we had LAUNDRY DAY. It was
a frightening experience for some of the new people because they had never done
their own laundry before; but somehow they managed to get through it. After we were finished with our laundry we headed straight for dinner. We split up into groups for dinner going to: Steak n' Shake, Noodles & Company, Five Guys, Boston Market and Ruby Tuesday. We all enjoyed our meals and headed back to the bus to settle down and shower at the church. To end the day off we sat in a circle with PL and reflected about our experience at the ELCA National Youth Gathering.
