Today was another long day of driving and we all felt it! We
stopped and had breakfast at Mc Donald’s and then we were ‘on the road again’
for a very longtime. It started raining again and we had to open several
windows so Jim could see where he was going without his window getting fogged up.
When we did this, rain was flying in, and soaked a few peoples stuff they
brought on the bus along with giving them (a much needed shower) soaking. We were passing through St. Louis, Missouri,
and PL decided we should stop at the St. Louis Arch. It was amazing because right when we got there
the rain stopped and it seemed like God was watching over us. When we got to
the park we entered, and PL bought us tickets to ride these egg like elevators
up to the top to look out onto the city from 630feet high. It was a little
circle like egg shaped elevator that sat 5 people and was scary for some of us
who don’t even mind small spaces and heights. When we finished, we drove the
rest of the way to the church in Kansas and we were greeted by their pastor and
he gave us ice cream and home-made cookies. About an hour before bed we started
playing monkey in the middle, dodge ball, and cards. Overall we had a good day,
all of the traveling we did today has worn most of us out a lot and we are
pleased to get a good night sleep tonight.
